Princeton senior Sondre Guttormsen repeated as men's pole vault winner by equaling the collegiate record with a second-attempt clearance at a lifetime-best 19-8.25 (6.00m) at the NCAA Division 1 Indoor Championships at the Albuquerque Convention Center in New Mexico. Guttormsen matched the 2021 indoor performance of Baylor's KC Lightfoot and the 2019 outdoor mark achieved by LSU's Armand "Mondo" Duplantis, becoming the first back-to-back Division 1 indoor champion since Arkansas' Andrew Irwin in 2012-13. Guttormsen also became the 15th men's pole vaulter in global history to produce a 6-meter indoor clearance.
